Description

Due to climate change, power generation through renewable energy sources like solar, wind are getting prominence in most the countries depending on availability of Solar and Wind sources. The power generated in the wind turbines or solar PV plates gets pooled to a common Pooling switchgear (11kV or 33kV) through cables or overhead lines. The pooling switchgear further steps up the power to transmission level voltage (132kV or 220kV or 400kV) through Step up power transformers. The power plant thus gets connected to the nearest grid Substation of the local / grid utility through Transmission lines. Satcon provides the following services for these type of projects : 1. Site visit and data collection. 2. Topo contour survey and submission of Survey drawing in CAD for the switchyard and adjacent area. 3. Preliminary survey of the Transmission line route in 3 alternatives. 4. Detail survey of the Transmission line route for the selected route and submission of survey plan & profile drawing in CAD. 5. Submission of Design basis report. 6. Basic engineering drawings, calculations and technical specs for the Switchyard and Transmission line. 7. Procurement assistance by bid evaluation. 8. Assistance for finalization of Orders on equipment suppliers. 9. Vendor drawing review and comments/approval. 10. Detail engineering drawings, calculations and reports for the Switchyard and Transmission line. 11. Witnessing of FAT at manufacturer's works. 12. Assistance to Site erection team regarding various aspects of the design implementation. 13. Attending meetings with client and approving authority for obtaining approval of drawings. 14. Supervision of erection, testing and commissioning at site by deputing Sr. Engineer. 15. Assistance during site hand over by the Contractor to the Utility. 16. Electrical power system studies such as Load flow, Short circuit, Grid code compliance, Motor starting, Protection coordination etc.
