Control and Relay Panel drawings of EHV Substations :
Control and Relay panels (CRP) play a very important role in Extra High Voltage substations. Different feeder equipment at different voltage levels of the substation are electrically protected by numerical relays against abnormal system conditions like faults, voltage surges, thus saving the equipment from long system outages. The Control & Relay panel houses such Numerical relays, Bay control units for bay interlocking and remote operation, auxiliary relays, lock out relays to meet approved Control and Protection schematic drawing. Other than the Numerical relays, the panel also houses different type of meters such Ammeter, Voltmeter, Power and Energy meters, Control switches and terminal blocks.
