Short circuit force calculation as per IEEE 865 for rigid AL tubular bus bar conductors decides the force acting between phase conductors during and immediately after the flow of short circuit current. Such value helps to verify the ultimate tensile strength of the selected tubular conductor and also helps to decide the cantilever strength of the post insulators supporting the bus bar. In Satcon, we have developed inhouse formula to calculate such force values for a given span between equipment.
